Patharghata (Bengali: পাথরঘাটা) is an Upazila of Barguna District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh. Patharghata (Town) consists of 9 wards and mahallas 5. The city area is 18.31 km square. The city has a population of 13,060, 51.41% men and 48.59% women, with a population density of 713 inhabitants per km ².
Literacy rate among the town people is 50.7%. The city has two dakbungalows. Literacy and literacy education averaged 46.4%, 49.7% men and 43% women. University education: 2, 16 secondary schools, 61 public school, private elementary school 69, madrasa 95.
