Habiganj (হবিগঞ্জ) is a district in northeastern Bangladesh. It is in Sylhet Division.
Habiganj is the historical site where the Mukti Bahini began their guerrilla movement against the first aggressor Pakistan Army. It is also the place full of the memory of Syed Nasir Uddin, an employee of the great saint Hazrat Shah Jalal of Bengal. Historically Habibganj was Ganj bazaar in the river Khowai subdivisions founded by Syed Habib Ullah, son of Syed Ullah Hadaiet.
In Habiganj the area is 2,636.58 km ² and is bounded by Sunamganj District in the north, Tripura of India and Maulvibazar District in the east, Balaganj Upazila of Sylhet in the northeast, and Kishoreganj Brahmanbaria districts in the west.
Cultivated land: 1,54,953 hectares. Bosland 95 11 644 hectares. For crops in a crop 51.6%, double crop 38.7% and 9.7% of three crops, fallow 521 acres.
