Narsingdi (নরসিংদী) is a district center located 50 km Bangladesh.It northeast of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Division of Dhaka, and is the only district in Bangladesh, which depends not only on the farm. The district is known for its textile crafts. Narsingdi Kishoreganj is limited to the north and northeast, in Brahmanbaria, east and southeast, south and southwest of Narayanganj and Gazipur in the west.
Arshinagor park is near the station Narsingdi. Important archaeological ruins Wari Bateshwar was about 2500 years. Benodon Sonaimore park is one of the most beautiful Narshingdi and full of natural beauty. Narsingdi bananas are known for their size, flavor, aroma and color. The cemetery of Shaheed Asad, is [the hero of 1969-obhuthan Dhanua Gono in his village in Shibpur Upazila.
Narsingdi City consists of 9 wards and 33 mahallas. The area of the city is 14.76 km ². Narsingdi town was founded in 1972. The city has a population of 42,023, 54.52% men, women 45.48%, the population density per square kilometer, 2847. Literacy rate of the common people is 51.6%.
