Rangamati (রাঙ্গামাটি) is a district in southeastern Bangladesh. It is part of the hills of Chittagong and Rangamati town is the district headquarters. Area-wise, Rangamati is the largest district in the country.Rangamati is located in Chittagong Division. The total area of the district is 6,116.13 km square. Limited by the state of Tripura in India in the North District in the south of Bandarban, Mizoram state in India and Chin State of Myanmar in the east, and the districts of Chittagong Khagrachari and west.
It is a combination of Hill-Lake-Plain The area of the district is 6,116.13 km ², of which 1291.5 km ² and 4824.63 sq.km.is rivers with forest vegetation and the lake area is approximately 650 square kilometers.
For the 1991 census, the fraction of the religious population in the area were: 53.83% Buddhist, Muslim 39.28%, Hindu 5.62% and 1.12% Christian. Religious institutions Pagoda of 1230, the Mosque of 1059, the temple 65, church 16. Gender, being 53.59% were men and women formed 46.41% of the population.about
