Thakurgaon (ঠাকুরগাঁ) is a district in northwest Bangladesh. It is part of Rangpur Division and the border with India in the west.
Thakurgaon is in the northeast corner of Bangladesh, is about 467 km from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Located in the Dinajpur district in the south, Panchagarh district in the east and India in the west and north sides, is part of the plateau country of the Himalayas.
Population 1196429, men 51.04%, women 48.96%, 74.97% of Muslims, Hindus 24.05%, 0.54% Christian, Buddhist 0.05% and others 0.39%, the national ethnic: Santal 0 87% of the total population.
