Mehendigonj (Bengali: মেহেন্দিগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Barisal District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh. Mehendigonj is popularly known as Patarhat (Bengali: পাতারহাট) by the local people. Mehendiganj Upazila (Barisal district) with an area of 435.79 square km, and is bounded by hizla muladí upazilas on the north, Barisal and Bhola Sadar Sadar upazilas on the south, Bhola Sadar, Sadar upazilas Lakshmipur and Raipur and east muladí and Barisal Sadar upazilas on the west.
Mehendiganj (Town) consists of 9 wards and 10 mahallas. The city area is 15.62 km square. It has a population of 28,999, 50.12% men and 49.88% women. Literacy rate among the town people is 43.8%. The city has a dakbungalow.
