Hizla (Bengali: হিজলা) is an Upazila of Barisal District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh. Hizla Upazila (Barisal district) with an area of 515.36 square km, and is bounded by gosairhat haim char upazilas on the north, mehendiganj upazila in South London upazila on the east, muladí upazila on the west.
The main rivers are lower Meghna, Jayanti, Naiya, Bhanga and Azimpur. Hizla (City) has 2 mouzas. The city area is 7.58 km ². It has a population of 10,047, 52.64% men and 47.36% women. Literacy rate among the town people is 38.7%. The city has a dakbungalow.
