Amtali (Bengali: আমতলী) is an Upazila of Barguna District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh. Amtali Upazila (Barguna district) with an area of 720.76 km square is bounded by Patuakhali sadar upazila on the north, upazila kalapara and the Bay of Bengal in the south, Galachipa upazila on the east and the river on the west burishwar. The main rivers are Burishwar and Andarmanic.
Amtali (City) The city is now a municipality with an area of 12.25 km ² and a population of 14276, 52.74% male and 47.26% female. It has 17 rooms and mahallas 17. Literacy rate among the town people is 46.4%. The city has two dakbungalows. Gulishakhali thana Administration, established in 1859 moved to Amtali in 1901. Amtali Thana became a upazila in 1982. The upazila consists of 10 union parishads, 186 villages and 66 mouzas
