Ranisankail (Bengali: রাণীশংকৈল) is an Upazila of Thakurgaon District in the Division of Rangpur, Bangladesh. Ranisankail Upazila (Thakurgaon district) with an area of 287.59 square km, and is bounded by Thakurgaon Sadar upazilas baliadangi and West Bengal of India in the north pirganj upazila (Thakurgaon) and West Bengal of India in the south, in the upazila Pirganj east, Haripur upazila on the west.
The main rivers are Kulic, and Timai agar. Ranikankail (City) has five mouzas. The city area is 13.94 km square. The city has a population of 13,521, 52.09% male, 47.91% female population density per km ² 970. Literacy rate among the town people is 36.9%.
