Bakerganj (Bengali: বাকেরগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Barisal District in the Barisal Division, Bangladesh. Bakerganj Upazila (Barisal district) with an area of 417.21 square km Barisal Sadar Upazila is bounded by the north, Patuakhali Sadar, bauphal Mirzaganj and upazila on the south, Bhola Sadar Upazila and bauphal in the east, nalchity, betagi and Rajapur in west.
The main rivers are Tentulia, Barisal, Khairabad, Karkhana, Pando, Pandab, muddi Chara. Bakerganj (City) The city is now a municipality with an area of 14.01 square kilometers and a population of 16,050, 50% male, 50% female. It has 9 rooms and mahallas 15. Literacy rate among the town people is 55.4%. Has a dakbungalow.
