Santhia (সাঁথিয়া) is an Upazila of Pabna district of Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh.It has 46,745 units of house hold and total area 331.56 km ². Santhia has soem forests as areas where wild animals such as foxes, mongooses, wild cats, etc. But these forests and animals are endangered due to hunting and logging and burn.As census 1991 in Bangladesh, has a population of 283,463 Santhia. Males constitute are 52.2% of the population and 47.8% women. Eighteen of the population of 135,476 Upazila. Santhia has an average literacy of 23% and the national average of 32.4% literate.Santhia has 11 unions and community halls, 178 Mauzas or Mahalla and Village 253.
