Bhurungamari (ভুরুঙ্গামারি) is the northernmost of Kurigram District Upazila in Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh.It has 33,984 units of house hold and 236 km ² in total area. From 1991 census Bhurungamari Bangladesh has a population of 176,822. Males constitute are 50.38% of the population, and females 49.62%. Eighteen of the population of the upazila is 88,435. Bhurungamari has an average of 19.5% and the national average of 32.4% literate.Bhurungamari has 10 unions and community halls, 71 mahalla and towns Mauzas or 124.
