Trishal (ত্রিশাল) is an Upazila of Mymensingh District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The famous Bengali poet Kazi Nazrul Islam visited a school here.As 1991 in Bangladesh census, Trishal has a population of 336,797. Male Female 171 664 165 133. Males constitute are 50.97% of the population, and females 49.03%. Eighteen of the population of 158,390 Upazila. Trishal has an average of 25.2% and the national average of 32.4% literate.In 2001 Trisal has a population of 372,498. Male Female 190 428 and 182070. Houeshold 79941 and the literacy rate of 40.2%.
