Jamalpur Sadar (জামালপুর সদর) is an Upazila of Jamalpur district in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh Bangladesh.As the 1991 census, Jamalpur Sadar has a population of 501,924. Males constitute are 51.47% of the population, and females 48.53%. Eighteen of the population of 263,338 Upazila. Jamalpur Sadar has an average of 27.6% and the national average of 32.4% Sadar thana literate.Jamalpur was established in 1853 and became an upazila in 1983. The upazila consists of one municipality, 12 wards, 19 union parishads, mouzas 376 and 333 villages in the upazila.
