Islampur (ইসলামপুর) is an Upazila of Jamalpur district in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh Bangladesh.As the 1991 census, Islampur has a population of 268,352. Males constitute are 51.1% of the population and 48.9% women. Eighteen of the population of 124,612 Upazila. Islampur has an average of 15.9% and the national average of 32.4% literate.Islampur thana, now an upazila, was established in 1914. The upazila consists of 12 municipal union parishads, mouzas 86 and 169 villages.
