Mirsharai Upazila(Update spelling is Mirsarai) is an Upazila of chittagong district. Historical events Fakruddin Mobarak Shah established Muslim rule in the region in 1340. In the region of Hossain Shah and Nasrat Shah (Sultans of Gaur), Khan and Khan Paragal Chhuti were the rulers of the region. Later Nizam Shah, the brother of Sher Shah (emperor of Delhi), was the ruler. Pargana Nizampur bears his name and was Mirsharai total area under the jurisdiction of Nizampur Pargana.
