Lama (Bengali: লামা) is an Upazila of Bandarban District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Population 64,717, 53.94% men and 46.06% women, 70.30% Muslim, 22.81% Buddhist, Hindu 3.43%, Christan 2.78%, 0.68% other. Marma tribal form the largest group of people in the upazila and below Murong, Tripura, Chakma and Tanchangya are important. Lama (city) consists of two mouzas.
The area is 41.44 km. The city has 13,406 inhabitants, men 54%, women 46%. The population density of 324 inhabitants per km ². Literacy rate among the town people is 29.6%.
