Dasmina (Bengali: দশমিনা ) is an Upazila of Patuakhali District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh. Dash Mina (City) has 3 Mouza with an area of 19.94 square kilometers. It has a population of 14,737, 50.22% men, 49.78% women. The population density is 739 inhabitants per km ². The literacy rate among the town people is 31.4%. Literacy and literacy education averaged 29.6%, 36.5% male, 22.7% female. University education: 1, high school 19, madrasa 24, 39-year-old elementary school, elementary school 79. Old settings: Dash Mina Ideal Elementary School (1914), Dash Mina High School (1956).
