Boalkhali (Bengali: বোয়ালখালী) is an Upazila of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Boalkhali (City) has four mouzas. It has an area of 19.35 square kilometers. The city has a population of 58,292, 53.03% male, 46.97% female population density per km ² 3013. Literacy rate among the town people is 43.4%. It is said that Boalkhali is named after the famous name of Hazrat Shah Sufi devotional Boali Calandra.
