Panchagarh Sadar (Bengali: পঞ্চগড় সদর) is an Upazila of Panchagarh District in the Division of Rangpur, Bangladesh. From the 1991 census, Bangladesh, Panchagarh Sadar has a population of 193,198. Males constitute are 51.3% of the population and 48.7% women. Eighteen of the population of the upazila is 92,460. Panchagarh Sadar has an average of 34.7% (7 years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. Panchagarh Thana Administration was established under the Zila Jalpaiguri in West Bengal during the British rule.
It was under subsection Thakurgaon Dinajpur district at the time of the distribution of 1947 and was partially thana Panchagarh since 1980. It is a municipality, 10 union parishads, mouzas 110, rooms 9 and 183 villages. Panchagarh Sadar (town) Panchagarh city was founded in 1985. It consists of 9 wards and 32 mahallas. The area of the city is 11.36 km ². It has a population of 38,550, men 51.22%, 48.78% women, population density is 3,393 inhabitants per square kilometer. The literacy rate among the population of the city is 52.77%.
