Gosairhat (গোসাইরহাট) is an Upazila of Shariatpur district in Dhaka Division, part of this Bangladesh.Total upazila is 177.86 square kilometers with the union last Kuchaipatty. It is bounded on the north by the Upazila Damudya and Upazila Bhedarganj, east of Haim Char Chandpur Upazila District, on the south by the Upazila and Hizla Muladi Upazila of Barisal district and Sadar Upazila west Shariatpur District and Upazila Kalkini Madaripur. The main rivers are Meghna, and Dharmaganj.Agriculture Jayanti is the main source of economy, this contribution is almost 70.86% of the 2001 census. Other sources are livestock, forestry, fisheries, industry, hawking, rural transport and farm work.
